Just Make Something

A well-crafted song can say more than words. I have always enjoyed music. I remember as a child getting chills from the full sound of a pipe organ and feeling overwhelmed by the harmonies of a choir or orchestra. For songwriting, there is something powerful that takes place when the lyrics and melody are able to tell the same story.

I’ve spent a lot of time chasing the sound of popular bands or artists and unsuccessfully so. This Stone Age Duffy project is an attempt to remove that unnecessary pressure and just make something. I am who I am and I sound how I sound. If you can appreciate it for what it is, then these songs are for you. A friend of mine said once that the words and stories have meaning but sharing them is what gives them purpose.
